What Causes Bed Wetting In Sleep?

Hi Dr I keep having dreams that I am peeing and end up wetting the bed. How do I stop this dreams? is it a medical issue? Please advise. I am 42 years old and have history of bedwetting since I was a kid. But now I just have bedwetting only when I dream that I go to peeing? Please advise. THanhks

Dear; thanks for using our system and understand your concern. My advise is to avoid to drink a lot of fluid after 8:00pm and empty your bladder before going to sleep, in order to decrease the possibility of bedwetting while you dream. You might need to have a checkup with your urologist if you don't see an improvement . Sometimes it could be related to bladder problem or a prostate enlargement. It might not be related to your early years bedwetting.
