What Causes Bad Taste And Odor In Mouth After Tooth Extraction?
I had the #21 tooth removed on Monday (1/24) and today 1/26 i am in a great deal of pain. When you look down in the hole there seems to be something black down there. I have this bad taste in my mouth and also there is a smell coming from the extraction area. I have tried ibuprofen, ice pack, and salt water to try to help, but the pain is still there.

According to your history, that if you have severe pain with still an hole in the extraction site, it looks that there might be a dry socket. Dry socket is a condition when there is traumatic extraction of the tooth then the clot of the socket get dislodges and then there will be severe pain in it. Better that once you should visit your dentist and get it treated with packs.
