What Causes Bad Breath From Nose?

i have a bad breath coming from my nose for the last 6 months. It smells like either rust, smoke or dried up blood. What could this mean and which is the best medication for the same? i desperately need help coz it's causing real discomfort in my life as i can't go out for meetings. people around me say i smell bad

I have gone through your query and can understand your concern.

As per your complain the symptoms seems like that of sinus infection or Sinusitis as it is one of the common cause for foul smell from nose due to infection in the sinuses and as the sinuses drain through nose the foul smell appears through nose..
You should consult an Otolaryngologist and get evaluated and a thorough clinical evaluation and PNS view x-ray and nasal endoscopy as per the requirement can be done to confirm the cause..
For sinusitis antibiotics like Augmentin, anti-inflammatory painkiller like Ibuprofen can help..
Taking saline nasal sprays, steam inhalations and using a cool mist humidifier in your room can help..
