HI, thanks for using healthcare magic
HCG hormone is released during
pregnancy, the levels increase as pregnancy progresses.
It is normally detectable in urine by day 11 to 14 after conception but it is detectable in the blood before this point.
If this length of time has passed since possible conception then this should have been picked up by pregnancy test.
If you do not think that this time has passed, then you can repeat the test at a later date.
If you are truly not pregnant, then your doctor may want to asses for other causes of delayed period.
The other causes of delayed period are: (1)
thyroid disease
(2)emotional
stress or illness
(3)high levels of a hormone called prolactin
(4)physical illness
(5)side effect of medication
(6)polycystic ovarian syndrome
The medication
norethisterone is commonly used to help with problems related to the period and is generally safe.
I hope this helps
