What Causes Back Pain With Family History Of Cancer?

Hi, for a couple of months I have been suffering a pretty serious pain in my back, and side, I have had message, chiropractor, actupuncture, mussel relaxers from my doc, ice, heat tylenol for mussel and back, but the pain is worse. i have had xray and have catscn booked for next week. cancer runs high on both sides of my family so im worried.

Dear, thanks for the question.

Most Common cause of back pain is due to wrong sitting posture or any sudden injury which subsides by the standard treatment which you have taken. However in your case of family history of cancer the back pain could be due to metastatic deposits originating from cancer tissue. This is worse possibility so you need not be worried but be alert.

You need to undergo bone scan and complete body scan to rule out the cancer.meanwhile continue with the treatment which you have been undergoing currently.
