Hi,I am Dr. Gopal Goel (Orthopaedic Surgeon). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Causes Back And Hip Pain And How To Treat It?
It is painful in my back and hip area when straightening up after bending down. This has been getting progressively worse for at least a month. I have no difficulty walking, running or doing moderate exercises and in fact these activities seem to alleviate any pain temporarily (an hour or so). I also feel better for a few hours after rising from a night's sleep. What could be the cause and what can I do to ease or eliminate it?
Hi,Welcome to healthcare magic. After going through your query I think You are suffering from osteoarthritis of both hip joints joint as pain is relieved by rest. You need further investigation by x ray of both hip joints with pelvis. You need to exclude lumbar spondylosis by x ray of lumbar spine. Analgesics (DICLOFENAC 100 MG SLOW RELEASE TABLETS) whenever pain is helpful in pain relief. Diacerine and glucosamine sulfate protect cartilage from breakdown and help in cartilage regeneration. Sometimes vitamin D deficiency can aggravate this so serum vitamin D test is advised (if it is low than vitamin D supplementation will be required). You can discuss with your treating doctor. I think your query answered.Welcome to any follow up query.
