What Causes Auditory Hallucinations While On Trazodone, Prozac And Rifampicin?

my brother in law is having severe symptoms of some kind. I am wondering if he is having bad reactions because of the medications that have been prescribed and are being taken at the same time. he is taking trazodone, Prozac, rifampin, hydroxyzine and ibuprophen. what do you think can these drugs taken together cause hallucinations hearing things that are not there. seeing things that are not there. he acts like someone who is taking Meth. he has been tested for illegal drugs but results are negative.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi there, Trazodone and Prozac both have hallucinations as a side effect. If he is having these hallucination very frequently and completely dissociating from reality, I would recommend taking him to the doctor and he will change the medicine of needed or feasible.
Do not worry, these medicines are given to treat him, and these side effects can be tackled with.
hope he feels better soon.Thank you.
