What Causes Ankle Swelling In Pregnancy?

Hi, I am 37 yrs old and 35 weeks pregnant with twins. 2 weeks ago I was in hospital as it was suspected I had HELLP syndrome. It was a false alarm but they kept me in hospital to make sure I didn't develop any pre-eclampsia. I've now been at home for 2 weeks and was told to monitor my BP daily. I'm on 50mg of Betaloc daily for SVT and have not had anything more than very light ankly swelling throughout my pregnancy. Yesterday my ankles were a little swollen and today they are quite puffy and my BP was 145/92. Should I be concerned? Do I need to contact the hospital or is it safe to wait until my next appointment (next week).
Thank you.
