1. As your daughter is cleared of cancer and also delivered a healthy baby, thus taking into account the history and symptom, I'm of the following opinion
i. Anemia is a manageable side effect of Hodgkin's
lymphoma and may occur either as direct result of cancer or more commonly a side effect of cancer treatment [both the causes are present]
PS. as transfusion is suggested thus you must have been briefed with associated risks of infection, rejection and medical costs.
ii. It is suggested that one of the factors which limit the ability of the marrow to produce
hemoglobin in the anemia of
Hodgkin’s disease may be a relative hypoferremia caused by a defect in the mobilization of iron from tissue stores.
PS. It is wise to
consult a Hematologist for complete blood picture and only if associated symptoms of Hodgkin's like lymph nodes in the groin/neck/ armpits began to swell, along with
fatigue, fever & chills one may require re-evaluation, so remain under regular supervision and observation
