It is now november 23, i have been really sick with a cold the past 3 weeks (even in cuba) and still hasnt gone away. I dont know if its just a flu or something wrong with me. Any answers would be great
Hello and welcome to HCM, Anal pain while defecating could be due to anal fissures. Anal fissures are ulcer like lesions running deep into anal mucosa. Defecation aggravate the pain and they may even bleed. A clinical assessment of the anal region is required to look for anal fissures. Anal fissures are treated with stool softners and pain killers. Pain in lower part of abdomen can be due to gastrointestinal infection. Travel to new place may cause upset stomach and viral infection. Viral infection is managed by symptomatic treatment - light food, avoiding fatty foods, pain killers and rest. I suggest you to consult your primary healthcare provider for prescription of drugs for lower abdominal region.
Thanks and take care Dr Shailja Puri
