General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello and greetings

Rectal bleeding if not from hemorrhoids can be from intestinal bleeding which can be due to many reasons from severe ulcer to inflammatory bowel disease (Crohn's or ulcerative colitis) or more severe it can be cancerous lesion.

Immediately, he should see an gastroenterologist and get colonoscopy done to diagnose the cause. Don't ignore.

Thanks
