What Causes Anal Bleeding After Passing A Bowel Movement?

Hello,

I am a 31 year old male. About a week ago I felt straining during a bowel movement. Ever since then, I noticed some bleeding in the bowel and on the toilet paper after a bowel movement. I thought it would be a hemorrhoid. Should it have gone away by now?

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

This is more in connection with possible hemorrhoid. The duration of bleeding depends upon multiple parameters such as staging of hemorrhoids, constipation, associated ailments of diet & others.

You must get once checked up with the consultant surgeon for procto anoscopy examination and final diagnosis for the management.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel
