What Causes An Outbreak Of Herpes?
Is it possible for an individual to exprience a first time outbreak of the herpes virus when being infected possibly a year prior to the outbreak and my current sexual partner of a year not be infected with the herpes virus? I was recently diagnosed with the herpes virus but my current sexual partner of a year says he doesn t have the virus after having a recent blood test. And I recently had a physical exam with a new Dr where blood was taking and was told I don t have any STDs but months later had a herpes outbreak & my partner hasn t experienced any symptoms.

Recurrences with Genital Herpes is common phenomena. One can get the recurrence even after years of first exposure or primary episode.
There is every possibility that your present partner not being infected as there is no recurrence or no viral shedding during his contact.
High fever, attacks flu or viral fever, strain (Low immunity) can precipitate a recurrences.
