Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Yes I have a rash on my left side down towards my hip area it feels tingly and itchy and sometimes it hurts. I have used hydroclorize to try to stop the itch and also calmine lotion. I have had it about 8 days now. I haven t changed any laundry soaps or bath soaps. Could it be the shingles.
Since you are complaining of a rash which is itchy and lasting long for about 8 days it is most probable that it is an infection. I would like you to apply terbinafine ointment over the rash for seven days and also calamine lotion for soothening.
Kindly do the following:
1) Maintain proper personal hygiene. Do not wear soiled clothes and undergarments.
2) If possible bath twice a day.
3) Discontinue use of ointment if irritation occurs after applying ointment.
4) Get examined by a doctor in personal if rash increases, other symptoms like fever, red blood spots, ulcerations occur.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. Suhas Chauhan
