What Causes An Infant To Avoid Solid Food?

hi,i have 8 month old baby,last 4 days he didn t take solid food.otherwise breastfeeding well and drinking as well.even one bite he didn t accept.but Iam started solid food at 6 month old.until 8 month he is eating well.now last 4 days only doing like this.other wise he is Ok.please give me a suggestion.really Iam worried about this. ur question here...

It is understandable to be concerned.

He may be in the early stages of a viral or bacterial infection that is affecting his appetite.
Most infections are mild eg cough and cold and do not cause any long term problems but you should still have him assessed if the decrease appetite continues.

You may also need to take a look inside his mouth to identify any cuts or bruises.
