What Causes An Increase In The Sugar Levels?

age 39, i am not having family history of sugar, normal weight and rugular jogger . when i was suffered from fever and take medicine during that time my fasting sugar 176, eventhough there is no single sugar symptoms sofar. now i am in diet to reduce my weight by 5 kg.

Dear Sir/Madam,
Welcome to HCM
During any infection the sugars tend to fluctuate and we generally do not consider blood sugar readings during infection to be diagnostic of Diabetes. It is a very good thing that you have lost weight. My suggestion would be to do a GTT (GLucose Tolerance Test) to confirm the sugar status. The advantage is that if by chance you are in Prediabetes stage we might be able to postpone or prevent diabetes by appropriate lifestyle modifications
