What Causes An Episode Of Partial Vision Loss?

What would cause me to wake up with loss of vision in one eye? There was no pain but the vision loss lasted the whole day. It was as if there was wax paper over my eye. I could see light and shadows only. Vision gradually returned after about 10 hours.

it appears to central arterial block or a branch. requeres to be examined by eye doctor with fundus examination. may be having degenerative changes in retina with hole tear and peripheral detachment. can consult retina surgeon. treatment can be recomanded after proper diagnosis.
