What Causes Absence Of Periods After Skipping Birth Control Pills?

Hello, I m 20 years old and I have a question concerning my menstrual cycle. I am on birth control and I ve been skipping the inactive pills because I m scared that I ll get pregnant during the time I take the inactive pills... but now I ve missed 2 period these past 2 months and I ve taken 2 pregnancy test and the results were both negative... I don t feel any pregnancy symptoms whatsoever... I feel normal but I want my period to come back... I m worried I might have done something wrong... I read online that skipping sugar pills causes you to miss ur period? Is that true? Could me skipping the inactive pills be the reason why I missed 2 periods? Please respond I really need to know what is going on with me I just want my period to come back, Thank you.

Hi, I think you have skipped your periods because you have not taken the inactive pills. You can't get pregnant while taking inactive pills. So, you can take that without worrying about pregnancy. Finish your active pills this time and start taking the inactive pills. You will get your periods anytime after stopping the active pills. Start the new pack on day 1 of your next periods and take them regularly. Hope I have answered your question.
