What Causes Abnormal Vaginal Bleeding While On Utovlan?

im got prescribed utovlan to help with my periods. I missed 2 days and now it has started. Can these tablets stop my periods as since I have been taking them they have got heavier then lighter. If so how long will they take to stop my periods and how often?

Hi I think you can take these tablets at a high dose for 3 days to stop the periods and then continue at a lower dose for rest of your month. Consult a gynecologist for proper prescription. If you have period problem, get a thyroid profile and prolactin level and a ultrasound done to see uterus and ovaries to find out the cause of irregular periods. Taking these tablets will not solve the problem. If anything is abnormal, it needs to be treated. Hope it helps.
