What Causes Abnormal Vaginal Bleeding And Abdominal Pain?

Hi I started bleeding four days after my period, but thought my cycle was messed up because I was on the coil(but has been removed), so when I was still bleeding ten days on I went to see a doctor to see if all was well. She did a pregnancy test and it was positive, but as I was having pain and still bleeding she sent me to epau to get checked out, they examined me and and blood was seen but cervix closed. I had bloods taken hcg levels 1185, retaken 48 hours later hcg levels 1262, retaken again 48 hcg only 1456, they say still to low to get scan done. I am scared because I still get little pains now and again and still bleeding this will be 14 days of bleeding. Will this pregnancy make it?

OBGYN, Maternal and Fetal Medicine 's  Response
Hi, I have gone through your question and understand your concerns. Bleeding in early pregnancy can be due to:
1. Ectopic pregnancy
2. Bleeding around the foetus( subchorionic haemorrhage)
3. Threatened or missed abortion.
In a normal pregnancy, beta hCG levels should double every 48 hours. Your beta hCG levels are not increasing at that pace, so other conditions should be diagnosed. They can very well be diagnosed at this point by transvaginal ultrasound.
I would suggest you to consult an OBGYN specialist to get properly examined, investigated and treated accordingly.
Hope you found the answer helpful.
Wishing you good health.
