What Causes Abdominal Pain And Nausea While Having IBS?

Hello, I have been experiencing pain in my lower right abdomen right above my hip on the side for the past week and a half. The pain is not constant, it only seems to come at night for a couple of hours, and it comes in waves but is very severe. The pain causes me to feel slightly nauseas but there is no vomiting. I do have IBS, but I have never experienced this pain before with it or in this area. I thought about going to the doctor but everytime I want to the pain goes away. What should I do?
