What Causes Abdominal Pain Along With Nausea In A Person With IBS?
I am a 53 yr old lady with several illness including Asthma, IBS, MS and Degenerative Disks, also has cervical cancer in 2000 and a radical operation to fix that problem. Now, in the past year I am without a Dr. I cannot eat or barely drink because of nausea and pain, this is the case for months and I have lost over 50lbs. in 4 months. I feel like I am dying, my husband feels the same. I also have osteoarthritis so bad that both hips and knees need to be replaced but is not consider urgent in an emergency room. Thank you for any advice.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have aabdominal pain along with nausea in a person with IBS. Well there can be many reasons for symptoms you mention in query like appendicitis , consuming foods known to cause gas in some people, such as milk products that contain lactose, broccoli , crohn’s disease , gastroenteritis , irritable bowel syndrome or urinary tract infection . If condition doesn't get well then consult gastroenterologist for proper examination . Doctor may order ultrasound , endoscopy along with stool test . Doctor may prescribe methylcellulose , loperamide , hyoscyamin , eantidepressant along with antacids . I would suggest you to avoid above mentioned foods , eat light and non spicy specially at night , take light walk after every meal , take ibuprofen or acetaminophen for pain ,eat small and frequent meals .
