Hello, I am 53 female, for 5 days I have had persistent left quadrant pain as well as lower pelvic pain both sides but mostly left...yellow loose stools mostly water. Little notification when time to eliminate running to bathroom only to feel pain running down both front of legs (groin areas) as well as burning pain inside of left butt cheek. The pain in left side of stomach is persistent..can not rest hand on belly due to pain. Stomach sounds are at times loud popping and then very silent. I am passing one to two tablespoons of watery yellow mucous 4 to 5 times a day.. Question, Can to much Zantac- say 4 a day for 4 days bring on these symptoms? I m wondering if I overdosed leading up to this. Or- I had a hysterectomy 1988... Question -Due to the burning pain in butt and front of groin (thighs) - could this be more colon bladder or rectal prolapsing? inturn- causing the symptoms with the stool elimination pain and discomfort? Thank you for your time.
Hello, This sounds more like diverticulitis than anything else. I doubt that the zantac caused it. It would be good for you to see a doctor soon as diverticulits can be treated with antibiotics and if that is what it is then it may get worse if left untreated. Regards
