What Causes Abdominal Discomfort During Pregnancy Post Ovipure Injection?

my wife is having 5 week pregnant, yesterday my doctor recommended ovipure hp 5000 for two week but just after the injection she started having discomfort on her stomach . is it side effect or any other sign of early miscarries. as she had the history of two early miscarries two year back. from there on word we are trying , last month she is pregnant, we don t want to lose it at any cost. please advice

Ovipure hp contains human chorionic gonadotropin( purified) is prescribed to induce ovulation in infertility in women. It is sometimes used to maintain pregnancy in early weeks in case of history of early week miscarriages. Abdominal discomfort is a common side effect of this drug.
But recent studies suggest that this drug falls under category X or is contraindicated in pregnancy. Risk of the use of the drug in pregnant women clearly outweighs any possible benefit. The drug is contraindicated in women who are or may become pregnant.
So its recommended to withheld the drug.
