What Causes Abdominal Cramps And Bloating After Insertion Of An IUD?

My 23 year old daughter had an IUD inserted in February of 2017. She was a virgin and was recently married in August. She is experiencing bad cramping, bleeding, bloating and a lot of discomfort. Has taken Midol complete and or Ibuprofen and nothing seems to give her relief. She is using about one tampon a day for the bleeding. Help please!

Hello there I have read through your question and would like to tell you cramping pain and abdominal discomfort in a women with IUD indicate s that the IUD is not in place. You should get her checked by a gynaecologist to confirm that. If it is confirmed her IUD will have to be removed. I hope that answers your question. If you have any further questions please feel free to write. Thank you for choosing healthcare magic.
