What Causes Abdominal Cramps Along With Fainting?

My wife woke up this morning sweating and with abdominal cramp and feeling faint. She went to the bathroom where she had first constipation and then diarrhea. This afternoon she is still having abdominal cramps and feeling weak and shaky. What is her problem?

Hello
Welcome to HCM.
Your description suggests that your wife is having gastroenteritis. There might be acute gastric infection. The feeling of weakness and shakiness can be because of dehydration caused due to diarrhea.
I would suggest you to get her complete blood counts done.
You can give her tablet meftal spas to relieve abdominal cramps. She would also require antibiotics depending on blood results.
Also give her plenty of oral fluids.
Take her to physician for further treatment.
Hope this helps you.
Thanks.
