What Causes Abdominal Bloating And Constant Burping?
my daughter is 34 years old has 2 children, one is 14, the other is 3. She developed bloating in her stomach and keeps burping and has a very bad taste in her mouth and down her throat. She also has diarrhea but not a real lot! She has a fever now which is 101.8 and I am worried. Could it be the flu or something more serious? This has been going on for nearly a week now. Oh, also her stomach is very hard, it looks like she is pregnant. She is petite and weighs about 118 lbs. Please let me know what you think
Hello, We need to look for the source of the fever. The most common causes of abdominal bloating without fever are in fist place, irritable bowel syndrome which explains the diarrhea, abdominal bloating and often bad taste in the mouth. Secondly, problems with the liver (fat in liver). These two causes doesn´t explain the fever. I recommend first a complete blood count to discard any virus and later proceed with the diagnosis.
