There are two aspects of your son s problem. 1) there is digestive problem causing improper digestion/ stagnation of food in gut causing more gas production & bloating. He needs full investigations to spot the cause for this digestive dysfunction.( Life style problems like-Improper eating habit with lot of fast food/ without sufficient fibers & water acid peptic disease/ sedentary life with no exercises/ psychological stress )/ intestinal infection (bacterial,amoebic )or infestation with worms/ food allergies ( lactose or gluten)celiac disease etc... Followed by specific treatment . 2) Inability to belch-Many a times it s because of non relaxing upper sphincter of esophagus .. not allowing release of gas collected in stomach or belching -thus creating more of bloating of abdomen to cause the problem.
