What Causes Abdominal Bloating Along With Prolonged Vaginal Bleeding?

Hi I have started taking Primlut N 5mg tablets since last week and I feel that I am very bloated especially my face. Do I need to be concerned. I have unexplained vaginal bleeding for nearly 6 weeks and while I had an examination in the hosp and a biopsy of the womb it hasnt been made clear what exactly is going on. bloods were taken twice in just over a week and all bloods are coming back normal. I am 49 but bloods are not showing that I am going throught he menopause. Im at my wits end at this stage so any imput would be gratefully received. Thank you

Hi,
Primolut N 5mg is a progesterone tablet.And it does not cause any bloating problem,except its withdrawal can lead to heavy menstrual bleeding.

If you are having continuous vaginal bleeding for the last 6 weeks,then its a matter of concern.
You should get a trans vaginal sonography done,take some hematinic drugs like iron and folic acid,anti-coagulant drugs like tranexemic acid tablets,and a broad spectrum anti-biotic like cefpodoxime and metronidazole.

Along with these measures,if you feel your face is bloated up,check your renal profile and go for a routine urine analysis.
