What Causes A Tongue Lump With Sinusitis?

Hi, I'm 28 years old. I've had sore throat and cough yesterday that seems to have gone, and now just experiencing blocked nose and general feeling of having a cold. I've noticed though a small white bump on the side of my tongue, about 2-3 mm across, not painful and it doesn't appear to have any puss inside. it feels much like a small mole like you would find on your skin. Can you help me with what it is ?

Hi..
Welcome to HEALTHCARE MAGIC..

I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..

As per your complain a small bump over the tongue with a recent history of having cold and cough and sore throat can be an inflammatory lump secondary to infection..
It can also be a beginning of a canker sore or can also be due to allergic reaction or tongue bite..
You need not to worry as it does not look like anything serious and will gradually resolve on its own..
You can do warm saline gargle and take a multivitamin tablet daily..
Yu can apply an antimicrobial oral paste over it for faster resolution..
In case if it become painful you can apply Lignocaine gel over it..
For blocked nose do steam inhalation and saline nasal sprays..
Avoid chilled foods..

Hope this information helps..

Thanks and regards.
