About 6 moths ago I was eating a salsa chip and it stabbed the bottom under my tung. Over time it became a small pea sized, hard bump never hurt. The pats couple of days it came to a head like a zit would get on you're face. I woke up this morning and yon and this hard white thing popped out it does not hurt and it did not bleed not even a lil bit. Any ideas on what it could be I'm hopping it was a pice of the chip that got lodged in there and finally came out. Thanks for any help
I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..
As per your complain it seems like you have got a ruptured duct of a minor salivary gland leading to spillage of mucous into the soft tissues and causing formation of a lump and is known as a mucocele.. As the lump is painless and persistent you can start doing concentrated salt water rinses for its regression.. In case if it still does not regress consult an Oral Physician and get evaluated and a thorough clinical evaluation can help in diagnosis and in case if it is mucocele surgical removal is advisable..
Hope this information helps..
