What Causes A Skin Tag Hanging On The Underside Of The Tongue?

There's this small thing hanging off the underside and left side of my tongue. It hurts and it's pretty flat like a tag. The tip is a red-ish bulb but the rest is like my tongue. It's connected at one point to my tongue. What is this? It doesn't sound like plica something because it's one and just the structure is different.

Thanks for the query..

It can be inflamed police of the left side as due to some injury or burning with hot foods it can become swollen and inflamed..

But in case if it still not plica then it can be a fibroma that is a soft tissue overgrowth..

For confirmation consult an Oral Physician and get evaluated..
For now do warm saline gargles..
Suck ice pops and do cool water rinses..
