What Causes A Sebaceous Cyst Look Alike With White Pus Discharge?
my husband has what we think is a sebaceous cyst on the back of his neck which he has had for at least 20 years. Tonight he just realized it seems to be discharging with a white puss and a foul oder. Do we need to go to emergency room or can we make an appt with a dermatologist for asap

Hello. The cyst is obviously infected but if the pus is draining, there's no need for the ER and actually he doesn't need to see a dermatologist--a family doctor or a general practitioner can determine if it needs to be lanced and whether he needs a course of antibiotics
