What Causes A Pus Filled Lump Under The Armpit After A Laser Treatment?

I have a painful (not too bad) lump I can feel under the surface of my skin on one of my armpits. I am prone to cuts and spots caused by ingrown hair and shaving, but recently I ve also had a few small spots that pop with some puss in them. I have recently undergone my first laser hair removal session (a week and a half ago), could it be due to that? Is this normal? I haven t had the same reaction on the other armpit or my bikini area which has also been treated. Thanks.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Armpit has many hairs, and as armpit is site of excessive sweating, and continuous movement of arms usually accumulate dust and skin debris in armpit, sweating become the source of growth of bacteria, and any abrasion in skin leads to infection at that area.
precaution include , good hygienic care of armpits, careful and regular cutting of hairs. infection has nothing to do with laser therapy.
