What Causes A Persistent Tapping Sound In The Ear?
Hello, thank you for your time, I have a dripping sound in my left ear. It happens aproximately once a day and lasts for around 15 minutes. I have no pain and there's no fluid coming out.
When I lie on my left ear completely horizontaly it stops, but not if I lie on my right ear.
Understanding your concern. As per your query you have symptoms of persistent tapping sound in the ear. Well the symptoms you mention in query are pointing towards a condition known as tinnitus.
Need not to worry. I would suggest you to consult an ENT specialist once and get evaluated thorough clinical evaluation and go for audiometry examination. Avoid loud noises and avoid itching and pricking ear with any sharp object. You should avoid excessive use of mobile from that side and maintain hygiene of ear canal. Avoid activities such as swimming and put otogesic ear drops in ear.
Hope your concern has been resolved.
Get Well Soon.
Best Wishes, Dr. Harry Maheshwari
