I have had a persistent cough as well as eye problems. My first trip to the doctor I was told I had a sinus infection. I was treated with antibiotics. A week later after a chest xray I was thought to possibly have pneumonia. Another week passed and was diagnosed with allergies. Many medications later I am worse and not better. Thought that my bedroom had a musty smell. What should my next step be?
You can have sarcoidosis. It is a disease that commonly causes eye problems along with chest infections. Allergies can be sometimes be a part of sarcoidosis and may manifest as the same. Get a Chest xray and a spirometry test along with S. ACE levels and mantoux test. ALL these will help in getting a proper picture
