What Causes A Painful Lump On The Thigh?

Hi I found a lump on my inner thigh two days ago it is painful to the touch. I went to the doctor yesterday and she thinks that it is STAPH. I have had STAPH before and know what it looks and feels like this is not the same. She put me on Bactrum for it when I awoke this morning it seemed to get bigger any advice?

HI,Welcome with your query to HCM.
Based on the facts of your query - you need to change the antibiotics to non-sulpha drug,as it seems to be not effective and is the cause of the lump becoming bigger on next morning.

Use Tab floxacin 200 mgm with script from your Gp.
Get Second Opinion on the knee lump from Orthopedic Surgeon.
Who would treat it accordingly as per the need of your case.
Hope this would help you to plan treatment with your doctor.
Welcome for any further query in this regard

Will appreciate writing your feedback review comments,to help the needy patients like you at HCM.

Good Day!!
