What Causes A Painful Lump In Front Of The Ear?

Hi, I have developed a hard lump on the side of my face in front of the ear today. It is becoming sensitive to touch. I was bitten by a spider earlier this week in the forehead on the same side. Swelling of this area has increased significantly. Could the two be related?

Hello

Welcome in HCM.

I understand your concern and it appears as you are having probably the enlarge lymph nodes on your preauricular region of face. As you said that spider bitten you on the same side of forehead a weeks back, it appears both may be interconnected.

Now you may take-

1- Anti inflammatory.

2- Anti allergic.

3- Antibiotic (broad spectrum).

I hope above will help you, unfortunately if you do not feel better than consultation with your ENT become necessary.

Thanks for consulting HCM.
