Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have noticed what looks to be a pimple around my nipple. It s not like the regular small bumps on the areola area, and it was never there until this morning. It is larger than the regular small NORMAL bumps. This one is more like a pimple, and I tried to pop it. And now it hurts... any ideas what it could be?
Hello. I have gone through your question and understand your concern. Breast lesions have to be examined carefully and immediately. Pain and sudden appearance suggest infection if diagnosed otherwise. Infections are more common in young and lactating females due to trauma. Consult a doctor as you may require examination and start with antibiotics if the cause of lesion is infection. Look for other signs and symptoms like fever, if affected area is warm to touch, swelling in and around armpit area. Good luck. Hope your concern is answered. Thank You.
