General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

Swelling may be due to the trauma alone or there may be underlying fracture. If she is moving her fingers and wrist easily then most probably it is due to injury alone. She can take analgesics for pain. But if symptoms persists, it's better to take her to ER and have x-ray done.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Gauraw Kumar
