What Causes A Lump On The Waistline In The Fatty Tissue?

I found a lump on my left waistline in the fatty tissue . If I push on it I can feel it and so can others. Probably about the size of a fifty cent piece. If I was to put my hands on my waste it is about in the middle of my hand in proximity. At first I thought it was just a sore spot as I carry my little one on my left side but then I could feel the lump. I have an appt to see my doctor on the 14th but was wondering if this is common.

Hi...thanks for sharing your problem here in this forum...
You got lump on the left wast line...i can understand your problem...most of the lumps in the wast lines are hernias(protrusion of the body tissue)...they can be inguinal hernia or femoral hernia ..but for proper diagnosis this need to be examin...the hernias are very common problem in the paulation but most common in obese people and those who strains for example with constipation or chronic cough and after pregnancy...this need surgical repair..you need to see your doctor...thanks
