What Causes A Lump On The Tonsils?

I was examining my throat a couple of days ago and noticed a strange lump on the posterior fold behind my right tonsil. What should I do about it!! I have been having bad allergies this year, with a lot of stuffy noses, coughing, sneezing, etc. I also quit smoking cigarettes two years ago but still use an electronic one. If this is something I should address with an ENT please, please let me know!! I have a picture I can attach if anyone can help me.

Hi,
Thanks for posting in HCM.
Lump on the tonsils indicates infection. It can be precipitated by allergies as you have said to having experienced. Since you were a smoker, you need to rule out that it is cancerous lesion.
You need get examined from an ENT specialist in this regard.
Once your condition is diagnosed by clinical examination and investigative procedures, appropriate treatment can be instituted.
Wish you speedy recovery and good health.
