What Causes A Lump And Bruise On The Forearm?
I recently had a stent put in my left carotid artery and am on Plavix. I have developed sizable bruise on my forearm which has a hard knot in the center of it. Do I need to see my doctor about this or will it just go away? Could it be a blood clot even tho I am on a blood thinner?

Hi,Greetings from HCM.Since you had a stent put on your left carotid artery you have to be on a blood thinner medicine like clopidogrel or aspirin which prevent platelet aggregation and clotting.If you have developed a bruise it is due to clopidogrel overdose.If it enlarging in size or if multiple bruises are appearinr you need to cosult doctor and adjust the dose of clopidogrel
