What Causes A Large Fluid Filled Lump On The Spine?

A week ago a lump, about the diameter of an orange (and about 2 inches deep) appeared at the lower end of my right scapula near my spine. My doctor called it a hematoma, but it has not discoloured at all like a bruise. It seems to be fluid filled. Could this be an inflammation or damage to the infraserratus bursa?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi
Welcome.
I have gone through your query.
Is there any history of injury?
Are you suffering from any medical illness?

Hematoma without injury need to be evaluated. You should get your platelets count and clotting profile need to be checked.
Hope this helps.
Take care
