What Causes A Knot Behind Ear And Ear Infection?

My daughter who is 20 months old has a marble size knot in the hair line behind her ear and a pea size one behind her other ear. They have always been there. She don t like for you too touch them at all. A doctor told me it was from bad ear infections which she has had 10 from the time she was born till now. But her doctor said there is nothing wrong with her ears. So what could it be? He didn t know.

thank you for posting your query in healthcaremagic.com....

well they seem like enlarged lymph nodes behind the ear or post auricular lymph node enlargement in medical terms....
see they can occur because of persisting infections of head and neck or ears...
not much can be said without properly examining the child....

i would suggest you to take her to an ENT or a PHYSICIAN and get her checked...also medications can be provided if required...

hope this was useful....
regards
