What Causes A Hard Lump On The Gum After Removal Of Wisdom Teeth?
I had all 4 of my wisdom teeth removed 3 days ago..all of them feel fine except the lower right I noticed a hard gumball sized lump a little in front of the extraction site..making my cheek protrude.and keeping me from opening my mouth all the way.what is this???
I have gone through your query and can understand your concern..
As per your complain a small hard lump at the extraction site that occurred after wisdom tooth extraction seems to be most a Hematoma that is formed due to severing of blood vessels during the extraction procedure and accumulation of blood into soft tissues forming a lump..
Nothing to worry, as it is a common finding and will resolve soon..
You should do cool compresses over it and continue taking your medications and follow the post operative instructions given to you by the dentist for faster healing..
In case if condition worsen consult your dentist and get evaluated..
Hope this helps..
Regards.
