What Causes A Hard Bulge In The Lower Abdomen?

Hello. The past few months I ve noticed a hard bulge in my lower abdomen that is painless unless I apply pressure. Seems that I can move it from side to side. I do have IBS(diarrhea) so constipation usually isn t an issue for me. Just wondering what the possibilities are. I m having an abd ultrasound in a few months for unrelated reasons. Not sure if I should move the appointment up? Any thoughts? Thanks for the help!

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hi.
Thanks for your query.
Noted your history hard bulge in the lower abdomen that is painless but tender, can move it, have IBS-diarrhea, having an ultrasound for unrelated cause, should you pre-pone the appointment.
I would advise you the following:
First of all get a clinical evaluation, examination by a General Surgeon.
Have an early ultrasound and preferably a CT scan as it clears the diagnosis and give a plan for the further management.
