Husband has rash 3 in circular format. Rash sore appearance. Grew from 1 to 3 in week. Looks Ike tick bite pictures but there is no red center His is clear in center with same looking outside ring (ring deep red with purple) Went to ER ...blood cultures and other work show nothing abnormal.. Have standing skin specialist apt Tues. Should we be doing anything? ER said Friday eve that we should wait for apt... No fever, no flue symptom, no fluid on space.
Hi. As per your case history your husband is having fungal rash called as tinea corporis. My treatment advice is - 1. Don't scratch the lesion as it may worsen the condition. 2. Maintain good hygiene and bath twice daily. 3. Apply an antifungal cream like clotrimazole cream twice daily on it. 4. Take an antihistamine medication like levocetrizine for itching. 5. Other treatment options are oral fluconazole, itraconazole and terbinafine taken only after consulting a dermatologist.
