What Causes A Bump Under The Right Shoulder Blade?

i had a bump about the size of a half racket ball under the right shoulder blade on my back. I received this last monday on a fishing trip in southern Louisiana. I didn t think much about it since it was smaller then and did not cause any discomfort. Over the week it got bigger and did get sensitive to the touch. I got home on friday and went to a doctor. They said it appeared to be a spider bite and although it was very infected, they did not think it was serious. They gave me Sulfameth/Trimethoprim 800/160 MG and said take one in the morning and night for two weeks. I started on friday and saturday afternoon i began to have low grade fevers. Sunday it got worse in the afternoon. I feel better about an hour after i take the meds, but as they wear off i get the low grade fevers (100.8 is the highest so far). My question is: are the fevers brought on by the medication or are these symptoms that i should revisit the doctor and get addressed.

I have gone through your question and understand your concern. Continue with the antibiotics, low grade fever will subside with the infection. Full course of antibiotic will treat infection and symptoms caused by it, low grade fever is not an adverse effect caused by antibiotics but the infection.
Medications and ample of rest is sufficient enough to treat the illness, if fever does not subside even after the complete course of antibiotics consult a doctor.
