What Causes A Boil On The Crack Of The Buttocks?

I am a black male 31 5 10 170 Good health I have a boil in the crack of my buttocks that is really hard and so so so sore it has a really tender red spot that looks like its about to bust what to do I have been soaking in hot baths and hot compress I put some Oxy pimple remover on it to bring it to a head?

Hi.
As per your case history you are having a furuncle.
My treatment advice is -
1. Don't squeeze the lesion as it may worsen the condition.
2. Apply a mild antibiotic cream like fusiderm cream twice daily on it.
3. Take a NSAID like ibuprofen for pain.
4. Other treatment options are oral antibiotics like levofloxacin, cefadroxil and azithromycin taken only after consulting a dermatologist.
